New Cycling Bridge Over D2 Highway in Malacky Nears Completion

A new cycling and pedestrian bridge over the D2 highway in Malacky is entering its final phase before opening to the public. Construction is practically complete after the installation of the main steel structure and completion of load-bearing tests. The project aims to improve safety for cyclists and pedestrians crossing the major highway that connects Bratislava to the Austrian border. Malacky, located in the Bratislava region about 45 kilometers north of the capital, will benefit from enhanced non-motorized transport infrastructure once the bridge becomes operational.
