Stranded Humpback Whale Near Baltic Coast Likely to Die from Exhaustion

A humpback whale named Timmy has become stranded in shallow waters near the Baltic Sea coast and is severely exhausted, with experts expecting the animal will likely die. The whale swam into a bay on the small island of Poel near the port of Wismar on Tuesday and became trapped again in the shallow waters. Dropping water levels have worsened the whale's predicament, making rescue efforts more difficult.
