Czech Republic confirms bird flu outbreak near Slovak border

Share:

Czech health authorities have confirmed an outbreak of avian influenza, commonly known as bird flu, in domestic poultry in a location near the Slovak border. The outbreak has prompted the establishment of a 10-kilometer surveillance zone around the affected area, which extends into Slovak territory. The detection of the highly contagious disease in backyard birds raises concerns about potential spread to commercial poultry operations and wild bird populations in the border region.
