Belarusian Opposition Leader Visits Kyiv to Show Solidarity with Ukraine

Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, the leader of Belarus's opposition movement, arrived in Kyiv for a solidarity visit with Ukraine. The opposition leader is scheduled to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and other senior officials during her stay. The visit represents a gesture of solidarity between Belarus's democratic opposition and Ukraine amid the ongoing war with Russia. Tsikhanouskaya has been living in exile since challenging Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko in the disputed 2020 presidential election, which sparked massive protests that were violently suppressed by authorities.
