Slovak Women's Hockey Team Falls Short of Promotion to Elite Division

Slovakia's women's national hockey team failed to secure promotion to the top-tier A-category after losing 1-3 to France in their final match at a tournament in Budapest. The Slovak team finished with 9 points from three victories and two defeats, falling short of the points needed to advance to the elite division. Slovakia last competed in the top category of women's international hockey in 2012 and has been unable to earn promotion back to that level since then.
