Police in eastern Slovakia fined a driver who illegally used emergency vehicle lights near the town of Svit and confiscated the unauthorized equipment. The incident serves as a warning from authorities about penalties for the unauthorized use of emergency vehicle signals, which is prohibited for civilian vehicles under Slovak traffic laws. Police emphasized that only authorized emergency services, law enforcement, and other designated vehicles are permitted to use flashing lights and sirens on public roads.
