Police warn of traffic disruptions as highway construction begins near Bratislava

Slovak police issued warnings about construction work on the D1 highway at the Bernolákovo interchange, advising drivers to exercise maximum caution. Starting Sunday morning at approximately 8:00 AM, crews will begin measuring and marking sections for closure, including the right lane and entrance and exit ramps at the interchange. The construction will cause traffic changes and longer travel times in both directions through the affected section. The Bernolákovo interchange is located southeast of Bratislava on Slovakia's main east-west highway corridor, which connects the capital to eastern regions of the country and serves as a key route for international transit traffic.
