Gdansk Refuses to Accept Relegation, Appeals to Court of Arbitration for Sport
Share:
Polish football club Gdansk is refusing to accept its relegation from the top division, maintaining an ongoing appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne. The club had five points deducted at the beginning of the season, which when included in the final calculations would place them in 12th position rather than in the relegation zone. The appeal to CAS, international sport's highest tribunal based in Switzerland, represents Gdansk's attempt to overturn the point deduction that led to their demotion from Poland's premier football league.
