Košice Package Box Cleanup Rules Sent to Prosecutor by Activist Over Legality Concerns

A citizen activist has filed a complaint with prosecutors regarding new regulations in Košice aimed at removing package delivery boxes from public spaces. The activist claims the municipal rules governing the cleanup of these automated parcel lockers are unlawful. Košice, Slovakia's second-largest city, had been seeking to address the proliferation of package boxes placed by delivery companies on public property throughout the urban area. The legal challenge comes as Slovak municipalities increasingly grapple with regulating the placement of commercial delivery infrastructure in city centers and residential neighborhoods.
