Miroslav Heredoš has announced he will run for mayor of Bratislava as an independent candidate in the upcoming municipal elections. The former mayor is challenging the eight-year tenure of current mayor Matúš Vallo, claiming that Vallo's administration has transformed the Slovak capital beyond recognition and without respect for residents. Heredoš previously served as Bratislava's mayor and is seeking to return to the position he once held in Slovakia's largest city and political center.
