The Košice regional government will distribute 400,000 euros to support tourism development projects around Zemplín Reservoir. The Košice Region, which administers Slovakia's second-largest administrative area in the country's east, has allocated the funding to boost tourism infrastructure and activities at the reservoir. Zemplín Reservoir, known locally as Zemplínska šírava, is a major recreational destination in eastern Slovakia that serves as an important tourism hub for the region, offering water sports, beaches, and recreational facilities that attract visitors during the summer season.
