Košice Waste Incinerator Expansion Project Receives Environmental Approval

A new waste processing line at the Košice incinerator facility in the Barca district has received a positive Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) opinion. The new line will be capable of processing 20,000 tons of waste annually. The EIA approval represents a key regulatory milestone for expanding waste processing capacity in Slovakia's second-largest city, where municipal waste management has been an ongoing infrastructure challenge.
