Global temperatures likely to break records in next five years, meteorological organization warns

The World Meteorological Organization warned in its latest report that average global temperatures between 2026 and 2030 will approach or directly surpass current record highs. Scientists estimate an 86 percent chance of experiencing the hottest year in recorded history during this period, with the five-year average potentially rising up to 1.9 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels. The forecast represents a significant acceleration in global warming trends and highlights the increasing likelihood of breaking temperature records in the immediate future.
