Synagogue Attack in Skopje Linked to Islamic State

An attack on a synagogue in Skopje on April 12, which coincided with Orthodox Easter, has been linked to the Islamic State terrorist organization. The attack caused damage to the building's entrance but resulted in no injuries. The incident occurred in North Macedonia's capital during one of the most significant holidays in the Orthodox Christian calendar, when many Eastern European countries, including North Macedonia with its large Orthodox population, observe Easter according to the Julian calendar.
