Prosecutor Seeks Three-Year Suspended Sentence for Nagyová in Stork's Nest Case

A Czech prosecutor has requested a three-year suspended sentence and a fine of 500,000 Czech crowns for Jana Nagyová in the long-running Stork's Nest corruption case. Nagyová faces charges of subsidy fraud and damaging the financial interests of the European Union related to a 50-million-crown EU grant for the Stork's Nest farm complex. The case centers on allegations that the farm illegally received EU subsidies meant for small and medium-sized enterprises by temporarily transferring ownership from Andrej Babiš's Agrofert conglomerate to his family members, including Nagyová, who served as his close aide and later became his partner. Criminal proceedings against Babiš himself, the former Czech Prime Minister and billionaire businessman, have been suspended due to his parliamentary immunity as a member of the European Parliament.
