Firefighters respond to multiple blazes across Banská Bystrica region

Multiple fires broke out across Slovakia's Banská Bystrica region, prompting a large-scale emergency response from fire services. A total of 30 professional firefighters from the Fire and Rescue Corps (HaZZ) deployed with 16 pieces of equipment, while 27 volunteer firefighters also participated in the operations. The Banská Bystrica region, located in central Slovakia, is one of the country's eight administrative regions and encompasses both mountainous terrain and rural communities where fire risks can be elevated during certain weather conditions.
