Petržalka Market Renovation Project Halted After Missing EU Funding Deadline

Share:

Petržalka's original plan to renovate its municipal market has been officially suspended after the district failed to secure European Union funding. The Petržalka district council, which governs Slovakia's most populous borough in Bratislava, voted to halt the initial renovation project and instead pursue an official alternative proposal. The decision opens opportunities for citizen participation in developing new plans for the market space, which serves as an important commercial hub in the densely populated residential district on Bratislava's south bank.
