German Airports Expect Reduced Traffic This Summer Due to Fuel Crisis

Share:

German airports are anticipating a reduction in flight operations during the summer travel season due to an ongoing fuel crisis affecting the aviation sector. The Airport Association (ADV) warned that flight cancellations could occur not only because of potential physical fuel shortages but also due to the high cost of aviation fuel. Industry officials say the best-case scenario for this year would be passenger numbers remaining flat compared to previous periods, as airlines grapple with elevated operational costs that could force them to reduce capacity on routes.
