The club holds a commanding seven-point lead over Slovan Bratislava at the top of the table with just one regular season match remaining. Both Spišská Nová Ves and Slovan Bratislava secured victories in the 53rd round of matches, but Nitra's earlier strong performance throughout the season has already secured them the regular season championship trophy.
