Drunk Driver Crashes Into Apartment Building in Podbrezová, Passenger Hospitalized

A young driver crashed into an apartment building in the central Slovak town of Podbrezová while under the influence of alcohol, sending his 19-year-old female passenger to the hospital. Police tests revealed the driver had a blood alcohol level of over 2.0 promille, more than four times Slovakia's legal driving limit of 0.5 promille. The incident occurred when the driver lost control of his vehicle and collided with the residential building.
