Share:
A businessman who was charged by police for engaging in a fight outside a bar has avoided prosecution after reaching a settlement agreement. The man paid compensation for pain and suffering to the victim as well as a fine to the state. Under Slovak law, certain criminal cases can be resolved through reconciliation agreements between the accused and the victim, allowing defendants to avoid formal prosecution if they provide appropriate compensation and the victim agrees to the settlement.
