Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico expressed full solidarity with Romania following an incident where a Russian drone crashed into a residential building in the Romanian city of Galati on Friday night. The Romanian Defense Ministry confirmed that the unmanned aircraft, believed to be of Russian origin, struck the roof of an apartment building. Fico warned against confrontational rhetoric in response to the incident and called for immediate restoration of dialogue between the European Union and Russia. Slovakia is led by Fico's Smer-SD party, which has advocated for maintaining diplomatic channels with Russia despite the ongoing conflict in neighboring Ukraine.
