The revelation came during a discussion about public sector salaries and civil service management in Slovakia. The conversation, which also included fact-checking expert Veronika Frankovská from Demagóg.sk, addressed widespread misinformation about government salaries that regularly circulates on social media. Fico leads a coalition government dominated by his social-democratic Smer-SD party, which returned to power in 2023 after defeating the previous liberal administration.
