Share:
Police detained a driver who registered 1.6 promille (0.16%) blood alcohol content during a routine traffic stop, more than three times Slovakia's legal driving limit of 0.5 promille. The intoxicated motorist was arrested and placed in a police detention cell following the discovery. Random alcohol checks are regularly conducted by Slovak police as part of road safety enforcement, with severe penalties imposed on drivers who exceed the legal blood alcohol threshold.
