Iran executed a young mother who had been convicted of murdering her husband, marking the sixth woman put to death in the country this year. The woman gave birth to a child while in custody awaiting execution. The execution highlights Iran's continued use of capital punishment, including against women, despite international criticism of the country's human rights practices.
