The National Olympic Swimming Centre in Košice has welcomed 210,000 visitors since its opening, establishing itself as Slovakia's most modern aquatic facility. The centre, which cost nearly 20 million euros to construct from a former municipal indoor pool, represents a major upgrade to the city's sports infrastructure. Two modern sports facilities in Košice, including the swimming centre, have been nominated for the public choice award in the prestigious Building of the Year 2025 competition, giving the eastern Slovak city a significant opportunity to gain national recognition for its architectural and sporting developments.
