Wildlife Protection Teams Increase Patrols in Areas with High Bear Activity

State wildlife protection teams have intensified patrol operations in regions experiencing increased bear activity across Slovakia. The move comes as state conservationists issued warnings urging the public to exercise heightened caution when in areas where bears are more frequently encountered. Slovakia's mountainous regions are home to a significant brown bear population, and encounters between bears and humans can pose risks to both species, particularly during certain seasons when bears are more active in their search for food.
