Orthodox bishops in Slovakia issued a holiday message condemning armed conflicts and killing as believers enter Holy Week and prepare for Easter celebrations. The bishops used their traditional Easter message to speak out against violence during one of the most significant periods in the Orthodox Christian calendar. Holy Week, which precedes Easter, represents a time of reflection and preparation for Orthodox Christians as they commemorate the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
