Bratislava Self-Governing Region Governor Juraj Droba presented a progress report on his administration's priorities for the 2022-2026 electoral term. During the four-year period, the region has implemented or prepared projects worth hundreds of millions of euros focusing on transportation infrastructure, modernized education and social services, improved road quality, and heritage restoration. The Bratislava Self-Governing Region is one of Slovakia's eight regional governments, responsible for managing healthcare facilities, secondary education, regional roads, and cultural institutions within the area surrounding the capital city. These regional self-governing bodies operate independently from national government and are led by directly elected governors who serve four-year terms.
