Rescue Heliport in High Tatras Upgraded to Improve Emergency Response Times

The heliport in Starý Smokovec, a mountain resort in Slovakia's High Tatras region, has undergone modifications to enhance its operational capacity for emergency services. The upgrades are designed to enable faster response times for rescue operations in the mountainous area, which sees significant tourist traffic and mountaineering activity throughout the year. The Interior Ministry, which oversees emergency services, plans to examine and potentially upgrade additional heliports across Slovakia as part of broader improvements to the country's emergency response infrastructure.
