Jazz Legend Sonny Rollins Dies, Cannes Film Festival Awards Golden Palm

Jazz saxophone legend Sonny Rollins has died, ending a prolific career that began in the late 1940s. Rollins collaborated with some of jazz's greatest figures including Miles Davis, Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, and John Coltrane throughout his decades-long career. As a bandleader, he released more than 60 albums, establishing himself as one of the most influential tenor saxophonists in jazz history. Meanwhile, the Cannes Film Festival awarded its top prize, the Golden Palm, to the film "Fjord."
