Slovakia to Open Expanded D1 Highway Section to Bratislava by End of March

Slovakia's National Highway Company plans to open an expanded four-lane section of the D1 highway between Bratislava and Triblavina by the end of March. The 3.6-kilometer stretch will initially operate in the direction toward the capital. The D1 is Slovakia's main highway artery connecting Bratislava with eastern regions of the country, and this expansion is part of ongoing efforts to improve traffic flow on one of the country's busiest transportation corridors.
