Spain cancels Democratic Republic of Congo friendly match against Chile over Ebola concerns

Spain has banned a scheduled friendly football match between the Democratic Republic of Congo and Chile due to health concerns over an ongoing Ebola outbreak. The Democratic Republic of Congo is currently experiencing an epidemic of Ebola hemorrhagic fever that has spread across three provinces within the country and has also crossed into neighboring Uganda. Spanish authorities decided to prohibit the preparatory match as a precautionary measure to prevent potential spread of the deadly virus.
