Estonian tennis player Anett Kontaveit and Spanish player David Ferrer Vallejo both secured victories to advance to the third round of the ATP 1000 tournament in Madrid. The 13th-seeded Russian Karen Khachanov also progressed after defeating Australian Adam Walton in straight sets 6-2, 6-3.
