Drunk Driver Hits Elderly Woman and Flees Scene in Eastern Slovakia

A drunk driver struck an elderly woman and fled the scene before being apprehended by police in eastern Slovakia. The driver registered nearly two per mille blood alcohol content when tested, well above the legal limit. Following his arrest, the man was placed in a police detention cell while authorities investigate the hit-and-run incident.
