Košice to Host Europe Day Celebrations Bringing Together Students, Families and Experts

Košice will host Europe Day celebrations designed to bring together students, families, and experts in a series of events. The festivities will culminate with musical performances and panel discussions. Europe Day, observed annually on May 9th, commemorates the 1950 Schuman Declaration that led to the creation of the European Coal and Steel Community, a precursor to the European Union. The celebrations in Slovakia's second-largest city reflect the country's EU membership since 2004 and ongoing efforts to engage citizens with European integration themes.
