The head of a district office in Košice has announced his candidacy for mayor of the city's northern district. The official had previously worked to increase the visibility of another political figure named Šimko before deciding to launch his own political campaign. Kysela is seeking to establish himself as a viable candidate in the upcoming local elections in northern Košice, one of Slovakia's largest cities and the economic center of the eastern region.
