Košice-Göteborg Flight Route Fails to Attract Airlines for Second Time

A second attempt to establish a direct flight connection between Slovakia's second-largest city Košice and Göteborg, Sweden has failed to generate interest from airlines. The tender process, aimed at launching regular passenger service on this route, attracted no bids from aviation carriers, marking another unsuccessful effort to expand international connectivity from Košice International Airport. The eastern Slovak city has been seeking to diversify its flight offerings beyond existing routes, but the Scandinavian connection appears commercially unviable for operators despite potential passenger demand.
