Bratislava's Petržalka district has opened a new transport hub that handles 636 public transport connections daily. The facility, called Južné mesto, is now operational and has accelerated transfers between buses and trams in the area. Petržalka is Slovakia's most populous district, located on the southern bank of the Danube River across from Bratislava's city center, and serves as a major residential area for the capital. The new hub is designed to improve public transportation efficiency in this densely populated area by creating a central transfer point where passengers can more quickly switch between different modes of public transport.
