French biathlete Emilien Jacquelin, a five-time world champion, will join professional cycling team Decathlon-CMA CGM for what is expected to be a six-month stint. The 29-year-old athlete told French sports daily L'Équipe that the arrangement is still being finalized, with details currently being worked out. Jacquelin's move represents a cross-sport transition from biathlon, which combines cross-country skiing and rifle shooting, to professional road cycling. The Decathlon-CMA CGM team competes at the highest levels of international cycling, including races on the UCI World Tour circuit.
