
Ice Hockey Player Hrnka Suspended for Cross-Check, Will Miss Semifinal Game

Slovak ice hockey player Hrnka received a suspension after committing a cross-checking penalty during a semifinal match. According to the Slovak Ice Hockey Association's disciplinary committee (SPH DK SZĽH), Hrnka engaged in dangerous play at 52 minutes and 46 seconds into the game when he intentionally struck an opponent with a two-handed grip on his hockey stick. The suspension means Hrnka will be unavailable to help his team Nitra in the second game of the semifinal series.
