Train Crash in Pezinok Could Have Been Prevented With Better Communication, Investigation Finds

A train collision in Pezinok, one of the largest railway accidents in Slovak history, could have been prevented if the dispatcher had communicated with the train driver, according to an investigation by the Transport Ministry. While the train driver remains primarily responsible for the accident, investigators found that inadequate communication between railway workers contributed to the crash. The findings highlight systemic communication problems within Slovakia's railway system that played a role in the Pezinok collision.
