A Slovak athlete falsified a COVID-19 vaccination certificate to participate in the Beijing Winter Olympics. The revelation comes just one month before the World Championships, which are scheduled to take place in Zurich and Fribourg, Switzerland. The falsified documentation allowed Fischer to bypass the strict health protocols that were in place for the 2022 Beijing Games, where proof of vaccination was required for athletes to compete.
