Military ordnance detonated near Jablonice by explosive experts

Police explosive experts detonated military ammunition discovered in the vicinity of Jablonice. The controlled detonation was carried out as a safety measure after the ordnance was found in the area. Police are once again warning the public never to handle any discovered ammunition and to immediately contact authorities, as even apparently non-functional munitions can pose life-threatening dangers. The incident highlights ongoing concerns about unexploded ordnance that remains scattered across Slovakia decades after World War II and the Cold War era.
