Open-air museums across northeastern Slovakia are making preparations for their main tourist season as visitor numbers continue to grow annually. These traditional folk architecture museums, known as skanzens, preserve historical buildings and cultural heritage through interactive displays and demonstrations. The northeastern region of Slovakia, which includes areas around Košice and the Prešov region, hosts several of these outdoor museums that showcase traditional Slovak rural life, crafts, and architecture from past centuries.
