Trees around Počúvadlo to be protected from beavers with wire mesh

Authorities will wrap trees around the Počúvadlo area with wire mesh to protect them from beaver damage. Technical worker Václav Koleda from the Slovak Water Management Enterprise (SVP) said beavers were first spotted in the Počúvadlo locality and the first gnawed trees were observed in 2018. The protective measures come as beaver activity has continued to damage local vegetation in the area over the past several years.
