Construction begins on transitional housing project in Košice's Luník IX settlement

Construction has begun on a new transitional housing project in Košice's Luník IX settlement, with the laying of a foundation stone for 48 rental apartments. The project carries a total cost of 5.2 million euros. Luník IX is a predominantly Roma settlement on the outskirts of Slovakia's second-largest city, known for poor living conditions and social challenges. The transitional housing initiative aims to provide better accommodation options for residents as part of broader urban development and social integration efforts in the area.
