Former Czech President Miloš Zeman visits Košice accompanied by Rudolf Schuster

Former Czech President and Prime Minister Miloš Zeman visited the eastern Slovak city of Košice on Friday, accompanied by Rudolf Schuster, Slovakia's former president and former mayor of Košice. The visit took place at Schuster's invitation. Zeman, who served as Czech president from 2013 to 2023 and as prime minister from 1998 to 2002, represents one of the most prominent Czech political figures to visit Slovakia's second-largest city in recent years. Schuster, who led Slovakia as president from 1999 to 2004 and served as Košice's mayor from 2010 to 2018, has maintained connections with regional Central European political leaders since leaving office.
