
Stupava Residents Achieved 42 Percent Waste Separation Rate in 2025

Residents of Stupava, a town near Bratislava, separated more than 42 percent of their waste in 2025, according to municipal data. The town's inhabitants disposed of approximately 6,108 tons of waste throughout the year, with 2,581 tons consisting of properly sorted recyclable materials. The achievement reflects Slovakia's ongoing efforts to meet European Union waste management targets, which require member states to increase recycling rates and reduce landfill disposal as part of broader environmental sustainability goals.
