New Zoning Plan Proposes Ten Additional Ski Slopes in High Tatras

A new zoning proposal for the High Tatras mountain range includes plans for ten additional ski slopes, according to officials. Igor Rattaj, who appears to be involved in the planning process, emphasized that the proposal does not automatically mean construction will proceed. The High Tatras, Slovakia's premier mountain destination and national park, has long been subject to debates over balancing tourism development with environmental protection. Any expansion of ski infrastructure in the protected mountain area would require extensive environmental assessments and regulatory approvals before moving forward.
